Heart Foundation – Hand on Heart Campaign Video

For over 65 years, the Heart Foundation has invested hundreds of millions of dollars into heart health research. This support has transformed how heart disease is understood, prevented, diagnosed, and treated. Our Heart Foundation Hand on Heart campaign video highlights the work of emerging and leading researchers driving the next generation of innovation in heart disease.

In the video, you’ll hear from:

  • Dr Geoffrey Lester, Heart Foundation Brand Ambassador
  • Dr Natasha de Alwis, 2024 Postdoctoral Fellow
  • Dr Holly Voges, 2025 Future Leader Fellow
  • Dr Mark Louis Vidallon, 2023 Postdoctoral Fellow

These researchers are exploring new treatments and pushing the boundaries of heart health research. Since 1959, the Heart Foundation has invested over $872 million (in today’s dollars) into understanding, diagnosing, treating, and preventing heart disease.

Filming the Hand on Heart Campaign Video

We spent a full day at The Alfred filming the Heart Foundation Hand on Heart campaign video. Our team included the DoP, Director and two assistants. We used a Dana Dolly to capture smooth moving shots and attached an autocue to the FX9 camera so talent could read the script naturally. We also captured still imagery to provide additional collateral for the client.

Impact and Future Goals

In 2026, the Heart Foundation will award $13.7 million to fund innovative heart health research. While past achievements are impressive, heart disease remains a major health burden in Australia. By investing in research, we aim to save lives and make heart disease history.
