Our latest project was the Heart Foundation Thursday Island video, a story we were incredibly proud to capture. This Heart Foundation Thursday Island video was a real pinch me moment for our DoP Emel, who had the privilege of filming on the island and meeting the Kaziw Meta students involved in the Pedal Power program.

The aim of this project was to document the joy, energy and excitement shared by the students as they received their bikes and began exploring new ways to move, connect and stay active. The Pedal Power program, winner of the 2024 Active Australia Innovation Challenge, gave more than seventy boarding school students access to bikes, helmets and racks. For many of the kids, it opened up newfound independence and a sense of freedom on their island.

Throughout the shoot we filmed interviews with local guardians who spoke about the impact the program has had on the students’ wellbeing, confidence and daily routines. We also captured candid moments with the kids, from high fives to bursts of laughter as they tested their new bikes. These moments reflected exactly why this story mattered and how powerful community-focused health initiatives can be.

Projects like this align with our commitment to producing meaningful and authentic video content for not for profit organisations across Australia. Our video production services in Melbourne and nationwide are built on simple processes, strong storytelling and genuine collaboration. We work to ensure every project reflects the voices and communities at its centre.
