This one’s a bit different about FPV Drone Shoot. We’ve had a long running relationship with Sphere Agency, producing a range of video assets for their clients. One of their clients, Adriatic Furniture, had a brand new showroom that they wanted to promote with a video that stood out from the pack. In consultation with Sphere we hatched the idea of using a drone to fly us through the showroom rather than fall back on standard video shots. But the high concept ideas didn’t stop there. We enlisted champion FPV pilot Thomas Bitmatta to handle drone duties. We started with a visit to the empty, barely finished showroom and had Thomas zoom his drone around taking in the space. Later, once the showroom was finished and stocked, we brought Thomas back and the fun really started. We mapped a route through Adriatic furniture and let Thomas loose. Nothing was too hard for him. “Can you fly under the dinner table above the tops of the dining chairs?”. “Yep”. “How about you fly into the lift and let it take the drone up to the top floor?”. “Of course”. Back in the edit suite we seamlessly stitched the empty showroom shots with the finished showroom shots and created the piece you see here.
