Beyond Barriers – Inclusive Sport Storytelling Video Production
Creating inclusive opportunities through sport can have a powerful impact on individuals and communities. Our community storytelling video production team travelled to Adelaide to capture the story of Beyond Barriers Little Athletics, an inclusive para-athletics program helping young people of all abilities participate in sport.
Supported by the Heart Foundation’s Active Australia Innovation Challenge, the program creates opportunities for participants to build confidence, develop new skills and form meaningful connections within their community.
Through authentic interviews and observational storytelling, we created an inclusive sport video that highlights the impact of accessible programs and the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.
Capturing the Beyond Barriers Story
The goal of this project was to showcase the people behind the program and highlight the positive impact of inclusive sport. Rather than focusing only on the activities, we captured the personal experiences, achievements and connections that make the program meaningful.
The story featured perspectives from:
- Athletes participating in the program
- Coaches supporting young people on their journey
- Ambassadors championing inclusive sport
- Families witnessing the impact firsthand
Together, these perspectives helped create a powerful community storytelling video that demonstrates the value of accessible sport.
Filming Inclusive Sport in Adelaide
Our team travelled to Adelaide to capture the Beyond Barriers Little Athletics program in action. Filming on location allowed us to document authentic moments of connection, achievement and participation.
Additionally, we captured a combination of interviews and natural sporting moments to create a genuine representation of the program. This approach helped bring the experience to life and showcase the confidence and community built through inclusive sport.
